I think a lot about dying.
Morbid, I know, but hear me out…
When I turned 45, I had the thought “Wow, I’ve already lived half my life!”
Until then, I hadn’t really thought about the fact that my life would end.
Can you relate?
I’d just been truckin’ along, feeling fairly invincible and even immortal.
But the truth is, I’m not going to live forever.
And you know what? I like living. I have a lot more I want to do in life.
And so I started thinking about how I want to live out the rest of my life.
Bottom line is this: I want to live an amazing life.
I want to see the world, keep up with my kid and future grandkids, and stay quick-witted.
So that means my body needs to be strong and healthy.
Earlier this year I started working out with a small group of people at a place called Thrive Fitness.
We focus on functional fitness and some days I’m working out with people in their 70s!
It’s pretty motivating to see people at that age squatting, rowing, doing deadlifts, and sweating.
They are what I aspire to be: strong, fit, and happy with wrinkly skin and deep laugh lines.
Are you doing anything now to ensure you’re growing old well? Tell me!
