You Might Call Me a Dream Doula.

You might call me a dream doula.

I freaking love to see dreams birthed from what was once a little idea.

And you better be careful around me. If you tell me you have a dream…I’m going to hound you about it. I’m going to think about your dream and I’m going to ask you what you’re doing to make it happen.

I want to see and touch your birthed dream baby in real life!!

And if I can, I will do pretty much anything to help you make your dream a reality.

You don’t even have to be my kid to get my full support!

When Jackson was little – like 4, 5, 6, and 7 – he ran. For fun. He just ran everywhere! One time he even smoked me at Wash Park in Denver when we went out to run the 3 mile loop.

He was 7 years old. He flat out sprinted the whole 3 miles.

What in the world?

So when Jackson was a sophomore in high school and he told me he wanted to become an elite athlete and run track in college, I was ALL IN.

I could see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He had a dream and it was creating a fire in his belly.

He was ALL IN.

Jackson was more dedicated to his dream than I even knew a teenager could be! And so I matched his dedication as best I could.

He put his all into practice. I didn’t miss a meet.

He wanted to run club track in the off season. I got out my checkbook.

He hit a wall and stopped PRing. I found a sports psychologist.

He researched schools, teams, and coaches. I looked into athletic and academic scholarships.

He started getting recruited. I made the travel plans.

In January of 2022, Jackson committed to run for a University.

His dream had come true! OUR dream had come true!

I was over the moon for my boy. He kept his eye on his dream for his future and he did whatever it took to make that dream his reality. Talk about proud!!!

I felt the same way when my friend, Alexis, launched her professional organizing business. She’s now an accomplished interior designer!

And when my first time home buyers stuck with their search after losing out on 7 homes. They got their dream home on their 8th try!

Now that I think about it, I realize we’re not meant to birth our dreams alone. We’re better together.

So if you need a dream doula or a personal cheerleader as you figure out how to make your dream a reality, I’m your girl!
